Bah Humbug Challenge 25 - Penguins

I am having to post and run so to catch the post .. Another fab. challenge over at Bah Humbug I am just loving the DT cards .. such a fabulous array of cute penguins and style of cards/fancy folds. I must admit to having a bit of a soft spot for penguins. They may be ever so cute looking but, if you have ever watched 'March of the Penguins' then you will know that they do not have an easy life, such extreme weather and conditions they have to endure to protect their young.
I had loads of ideas buzzing around my head then I remembered that I had a Penguin Trinitage that I had never tried before .. even though I had the instructions to follow I went terribly wrong .. so this is a show of how not to make a trintage card! I will have to have another go .. no time now but its on my 'to do list'
Here is my finished card .. remember this is 'how a trinitage card should not look like! You can see the 'tubes!!!
I think it is because I did not print off at 100% ...not the template for the tubes, I did that freehand rather than use the template provided as could not work out where the 100%  option was. Hence the rest of the images were not at 100% either. I think this is why it has gone wrong, not 100% sure, no idea anyhow to do that .. my lexmark isn't the easiest to master such things! I know one thing .. am 100% sure I got it wrong! Hey Ho .. this is how we learn isn't it.

My card also fits in very nicely with CHNC 26 'Anything Goes'

List of Supplies
La Pashe Penguin Trinitage Sheet

  1. I can't see why you say it went wrong - I think it is gorgeous and very cleverly done. Like you, I have a real soft spot for penguins. Thank you for joining in my CHNC challenge 26 - hope to see you soon. x

  2. Thank you Hazel for your kind comment .. its the fact that the 'tube' are showing at either of the ends at the front.

  3. Indeed trial and error is how we learn Carole and I understand why you're not 100% happy with it ... but that's because you know it's not supposed to show anything at the sides. Someone who didn't know wouldn't notice =)... besides a couple of dinky ribbon bows or punched glittery snowflakes strategically placed would easily hide the 'tubes' - PERFICK lol! Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug!
