Here we are again, Its Bah Humbug Day, another week has flown by, where is the time going I ask myself. We have had a mixed bag of weather over the last week, we have been blessed with a couple of days of beautiful sunshine and I have spotted some Crosuses, their heads just popping above the ground, a sure sign that Spring is on its way.
While I wait patiently for Spring to appear I have been continuing with my guest designer spot over at Bah Humbug This weeks Challenge is 'Doilies' I have only quite recently started to use Doilies on cards, so I am no expert on using them. I have seen them used so beautifully, tucked in within layers of such pretty papers and gorgeous rubber stamped images. I have gone for simplicity, just tucking a little of the Doilie under the 'matt' I cut my Doilie down as the only ones I have left are just too small to do this, I do have a couple of 4" Doilies left, but have recently moved them and that is lethal, as it is likely they will never see the light of day again! The Doily is very old, I rescued a few from my local Emmaus It is thicker than your usual Doily, stands proud somwhat - this particular Doily can easily be cut down to a smaller size. Sadly, as they are quite old and 'delicate' I decided it wasn't wise to 'distress' in any way, left it 'au naturale'
Anyway, enough of my waffle, here is my card for this weeks challenge 'Doilies' over at Bah Humbug.
I did make a bit of a boo boo with the card for the RS image. It didn't at all like the Pro Markers? So my apologies for the garish looking image.

Hi Carole as you know, I genuinely thought your doily was crocheted at first and it looks great 'au natural' - a great bargain find. You have been an absolute star as our Guest Designer and hope you realise how much you're help has been appreciated by us all.
