I am soooo behind this week with my entry for this weeks challenge over at Bah Humbug As they say .. better late than never. This weeks challenge is 'Apertures' I have to say .. don't do many cards with apertures so for me I have found this challenge somewhat hard.
I have used the aperture, of which I cut using a 'Nellies' Die, so it sits behind the poinsettia. Behind the aperture is my very last piece of some very pretty green coloured vellum which has a lovely shimmery feel to it.
As my card has features some'gold' I am also entering my card for Challenge 11 'Go For Gold' over at CHNC I coloured a white button with gold krylon pen, placed in a gem in the centre, coloured that with gold krylon pen then placed glossy accents on top. I have also used the very pretty Cuttlebug Victorian photo corners using gold mirror card. The poinsettia also has some gold krylon pen run over the edges of the outer petals.

Hi Carole this is gorgeous, love your poinsettia, and your papers are fab too, I got in with 5 minutes to spare this week!! Lots of love Steph
ReplyDeleteBeautifully crafted card, Carole - love the gold button. Thanks for joining in my CHNC challenge 11 - hope to see you again next week. x
ReplyDeleteHi Carole - have to agree that apertures can be a wee bit scarey and I've tended to avoid using them too lol! However after seeing the beautiful entries we've received this week, I'm tempted to give them another go, (when some of the wrist stiffness lessens) and see what I can achieve. I have a lorra'lorra' catching up to do over at Humbug Hall and some tough acts to follow, from our 2011 Guest Designers, including your own good self. That prospect is even more 'skeery' than apertures could ever be lol!
